The tension nut compresses the tension spring to adjust pressure on the granite roller stones. Turn clockwise to increase grinding pressure, counter-clockwise to reduce. Over-tightening can stall the motor; leaving it too loose will slow particle reduction. Proper tension adjustment allows you to balance refining speed with motor strain.
